Dr. Isiaka Olayinka Busari, widely known as Dr. Easy, is an accomplished education leader and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and academic strategy. He is the Founder of OpenStone Education Solutions LLC, a U.S.-based consulting firm focused on delivering practical and scalable solutions in education, including curriculum design, teacher training, and student learning support.
His career spans roles in both Nigeria and the United States, including his current position at the University of Kentucky, where he leads initiatives focused on student success and retention, particularly in STEM and workforce-aligned programs. Dr. Busari is skilled in data analytics and educational technologies, with hands-on experience using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Qualtrics to support institutional improvement.
A published researcher and conference speaker, Dr. Busari has contributed to national conversations on mathematics education and learning technologies. His leadership roles include serving as Vice President of the Strategic Life Advancement Network and as past President of the Nigerian Graduate Student Association at the University of Kentucky.
He has received several honors, including the Inclusive Excellence Grant, the
Transformative Learning Award, the Student Organization Officer of the Year, the John Edwin and Gwendolyn Gray Partington Scholarship, and the Mandel Scholars Award—underscoring his impact and dedication to student success.
Dr. Busari holds a Higher National Diploma in Building Technology from Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria; a Bachelor of Education in Technology
Education and a Master of Education in Educational Technology from the University of Lagos, Nigeria; an Associate of Science in Mathematics from Cuyahoga Community College, Ohio; and a Ph.D. in STEM Education from the University of Kentucky.
